The first Anthology of Classic Articles has been so well-received that, although it is still in full use, we've been implored by readers to publish a second edition. So, here we offer the Anthology of Classic Articles II.
As with the original collection, these articles are drawn from issues from the first 100 years of The Christian Science Journal and the Christian Science Sentinel. These articles have been enthusiastically recommended by a group of Christian Science practitioners and teachers as being particularly helpful in their healing work. This, like any anthology, gathers an array of well-loved, dog-eared, and scribbled-on pages from far-flung personal libraries into one freshly-printed, convenient book — with a goal of increasing readers' inspiration and healing acumen.
Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, began publishing the monthly Journal in 1883, and the weekly Sentinel in 1898, to spread the news that the healing principles taught by Christ Jesus were still in effect, and once again actively healing "all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people" (Matthew 4:23). Those magazines are still being published today, as the record of spiritual healing as practiced by Christian Scientists continues to grow.
