Mary Baker Eddy, Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, devoted her life to studying and sharing with others her growing spiritual understanding of God. Even as a child, she earnestly searched to know more about God's goodness and love. Mrs. Eddy especially loved children, and she wrote many poems and prayers specifically for them. She also included accounts of children's healings in her primary work, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
Mrs. Eddy recognized that children have the innate potential to be great healers because of their honest desire to learn and help others. She healed them and taught them how to heal themselves and others through their own understanding of their individual relationship to God. Mrs. Eddy also founded the Christian Science Sunday School where young people from around the world study the Bible and Science and Health, and explore the seven Scriptural-based synonyms for God that are included in this little book. Each of the passages presented here is taken from Science and Health.
